Overview
Being a Big Brother or Big Sister is one of the most rewarding and enjoyable things you will ever do. It’s easy, too. Your Little can join you for the kinds of activities you already like to do, such as:

Shooting hoops

Playing a board game
-
Sharing a pizza
-
Taking a walk in the park
-
Or just hanging out and talking.
Just a couple of hours a week can change a young person’s life!
Little Brothers and Little Sisters come from all kinds of backgrounds. Some are younger (as young as six) and some are teenagers. Some may live on your block and some a few miles away. But they all have one thing in common: They need the friendship and guidance of someone like YOU.

HOW TO APPLY:
To get started, download, print and complete the Volunteer Application Form and mail it to the BBBS office. If you have any questions about the application form, call or e-mail the Big Brothers Big Sisters office and we’ll be happy to answer them. Once you’ve submitted your form, a Big Brothers Big Sisters staff member will walk you through the rest of the application process. The screening process includes an in-person interview, reference checks, and a criminal background/DMV check.

Have a question? Don’t worry. Our trained staff are here to guide you. And when it’s time to make a match, we’ll help you meet a Little who shares your interests, and then we support you all the way. We’ll even give you some great ideas for activities that other Bigs and Littles have enjoyed through the years!
